This study analyzed the conceptions of technology present in the Pedagogical Program Curriculum (PPC) of Physics undergraduate courses at São Paulo State Universities, with special attention to Information and Communication Technologies. The research technique used was Document Analysis referenced in Carl Mitcham's classification of technology. The research aimed to understand under what conceptual perspectives the presence of technologies occurs in the investigated documents, considering the four forms in which technology presents itself – Artifact, Knowledge, Activity, and Will – according to the classification proposed by Mitcham. Few indications of pedagogical guidelines aimed at critical reflection that contemplated the use and creation of new technologies were identified. The analysis also indicates a predominance of instrumental conceptions of technology in the investigated PPCs, especially associated with technology as an artifact, as described by Mitcham's classification.References
