Abstract

We argue that Leibniz's criticism against the Cartesian physics cannot be sufficiently answered by the solution offered by d'Alembert in 1758. The present essay constitutes also a theoretical and deep systematization consisting of a basis in order to formulate an intervention in classrooms in High Schools and in the first years of university teaching.
