PERCEPÇÃO DOS MEDIADORES DE ESPAÇOS DE EDUCAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA NÃO FORMAL SOBRE SEUS CONHECIMENTOS NAS DIFERENTES ETAPAS DE DESENVOLVIMENTO PROFISSIONAL

Resumen

Los espacios de educación científica no formal pueden mejorar significativamente el interés y la comprensión de las ciencias por parte de los visitantes. La mediación entre la exposición y la audiencia parece ser un fator clave para alcanzar el potencial educativo de estos espacios. La mediación de las visitas guiadas es una tarea compleja que requiere movilizar diferentes tipos de conocimientos del mediador, que configuran sus prácticas educativas, y por tanto la experiencia de los visitantes. Es por ello que este trabajó buscó caracterizar de qué manera evolucionan los conocimientos de los mediadores de centros y museos de ciencia, acuarios, jardines botánicos y zoológicos brasileños, durante sus años de experiencia profesional. Para lograr este objetivo, se aplicó un cuestionario de percepción de conocimientos a 78 mediadores de diferentes espacios educativos brasileños. Esto nos permitió caracterizar el desarrollo de los conocimientos del contenido, del contexto, de los visitantes y su aprendizaje y de estrategias de facilitación, reconociendo que cada uno de ellos se desarrolla de forma diferente a lo largo del tiempo. Asimismo, nos permitió reconocer tres etapas de desarrollo profesional de los mediadores (inserción, estabilización y diversificación), y discutir las diferentes necesidades de formación en estas etapas y su potencial impacto en las prácticas educativas de los mediadores.

Natália Cândido Vendrasco é mestre em Ensino de Ciências e doutoranda em Educação na Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Durante os últimos 10 anos, ela trabalhou como educadora em vários contextos de educação científica formal e não formal no Brasil e no Chile e como formadora de professores em diferentes universidades. Atualmente é acadêmica da Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Ainoa Marzàbal, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

Ainoa Marzábal Blancafort é doutora em Educação em Ciências. Sua área de interesse se concentra em práticas discursivas e educação científica baseada em modelagem. Atualmente é acadêmica da Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
