INCIDENCIA DEL USO DE HABILIDADES DE PENSAMIENTO METACOGNITIVO EN LA SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS: CASO ESTUDIANTES DE FÍSICA MECÁNICA PARA INGENIERÍA

El desarrollo de habilidades de pensamiento metacognitivo en estudiantes se constituye en elemento fundamental para su buen desempeño académico, de acuerdo con investigaciones en décadas recientes. El objetivo investigativo fue identificar el uso que los estudiantes de primeros semestres de educación superior de una institución de educación superior de Bogotá, Colombia, hacen de las habilidades de regulación del pensamiento metacognitivo, durante la solución de problemas en física mecánica. Se identifica también la posible incidencia directa o indirecta en este proceso de solución, mediante la aplicación de un conjunto modificado de situaciones problema, como instrumento de recolección de datos. Se diseña además un sistema de codificación con el objetivo de traducir los datos y realizar análisis cuantitativos. Los resultados indican que, un alto porcentaje de los estudiantes participantes, no logran hacer uso efectivo de este tipo de habilidades de pensamiento metacognitivo. Sin embargo, la incidencia directa de su uso en la solución adecuada de problemas si surge de manera significativa.Referências
