Abstract

From situations experienced by students is a plausible methodological strategy with a view to learning more meaningful. In this paper we argue for a physics of everyday life in perspective supported student worker, mostly in secondary education in Brazil. Our goal was to locate and analyze elements of knowledge of physics present in the work activities of students. The analysis of these elements, from a focus of the Historical-Cultural Psychology, provides guidelines for educational work in Physics Education, aiming to better use the potential of working students in developing conceptual levels more complex, not yet attained by these students. These levels of development are achieved, according to the approach of Historical-Cultural Psychology, in that there is a convergence of everyday beliefs and scientific concepts in the teaching and learning. We concluded that three conditions are necessary for the relationship between Vygotskian scientific knowledge and daily life can be realized in the context of Physical Education for working students.
