Inserting History and Philosophy of Science in the Physics Teacher Training curriculum at Federal University of Bahia: the professors’ view

This work presents a discussion on how the insertion of History and Philosophy of Science in physics teacher training curriculum is made, analyzing the Federal University of Bahia experience. The curriculum is analyzed from the program perspective, the courses and its summaries, and also by the perception of the Physics Institute professors regarding this matter and their own practice. The data had been collected through documental research and semi-structured interviews with the professors. The results point to the need of a look into “inservice professors programs” for those working with physics teacher training, particularly introducing discussions in History and Philosophy of Science.Downloads
