Abstract

Characterize the roles of writing in the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge from an analysis of the interlocution, by correspondence, between Charles Darwin and Fritz Müller, and with this, identify the evidences to problematize its exercise in science teaching at school was the aim in this research. For this, we did the reading; the examination of the letters content exchanged for the evolutionist and for the naturalist, during the years 1865-82, the selection of extracts and, based on categories by the epistemologist Polish Fleck, we discussed some relations among the writing practice by the scientist with the aims of this same practice for the apprehending, elaboration and communication of scientific knowledge by the student, in science teaching at school.
