BASES TEÓRICO-FILOSÓFICAS PARA O DESIGN DE EDUCAÇÃO INTERCULTURAL COMO DIÁLOGO DE SABERES

Resumo

Neste trabalho, são discutidas bases teórico-filosóficas para a construção de uma educação intercultural fundamentada num diálogo de saberes, tanto em termos mais gerais, quanto no domínio específico do ensino de ciências. Estas bases têm sido elaboradas a partir de estudos filosóficos e experiências de pesquisa em comunidades pesqueiras artesanais. Essas experiências incluem, de maneira central, trabalho colaborativo com professoras da educação básica que atuam nessas comunidades, visando ao desenvolvimento de inovações educacionais que se apoiam, em parte, sobre essas bases teórico-filosóficas. Dentre elas, o artigo se debruça principalmente sobre o modo como entendemos a atitude intercultural e a noção de diálogo de saberes, relacionando esta última a uma discussão sobre a natureza, as possibilidades e os limites da tradução intercultural. A formulação dessas bases teórico-filosóficas é parte da etapa de pesquisa preliminar de estudos de design educacional, encontrando-se no momento em processo de transposição para o planejamento e a realização do trabalho pedagógico no contexto da colaboração com as professoras, numa comunidade de prática em constituição. Dado que este é um artigo de caráter teórico, não apresentamos e analisamos dados relacionados ao trabalho colaborativo e às inovações educacionais nas quais ele tem resultado. Tratamos, contudo, de alguns desdobramentos das bases teórico-filosóficas para atividades desenvolvidas na comunidade de prática e no trabalho docente. Enfocamos, em particular, a proposição de princípios de design, conforme entendidos na pesquisa de design educacional, como meio de mobilizar para a construção de práticas pedagógicas as bases teórico-filosóficas discutidas no artigo.

Charbel N. El-Hani é Professor Titular do Instituto de Biologia, Universidade Federal da Bahia, Brasil. Coordenador do Laboratório de Ensino, Filosofia e História da Biologia (LEFHBio) e do INCT em Estudos Interdisciplinares e Transdisciplinares em Ecologia e Evolução (INCT IN-TREE). Entre Janeiro de 2020 e Julho de 2021, foi pesquisador visitante do Centro de Estudos Sociais, Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal. Atua nas áreas de pesquisa em educação científica, filosofia da biologia, ecologia e etnobiologia.
