PENSAMENTO CIENTÍFICO EMPREGADO EM TAREFAS DE FÍSICA BÁSICA

Resumo

No Ensino de Ciências, mais especificamente no Ensino de Física, há estratégias instrucionais baseadas em pesquisa que são reconhecidas por seu potencial de promover o desenvolvimento conceitual. É possível que muitas dessas estratégias instrucionais levem a aprendizagens mais elaboradas que promovam, por exemplo, o desenvolvimento do pensamento científico. O pensamento científico pode ser definido como constituído por conhecimentos de domínio específico e por estratégias de domínio geral. Investigamos quais estratégias de domínio geral estudantes empregaram em tarefas de uma atividade didática sobre dinâmica newtoniana inspirada pelos “Tutoriais de Física Introdutória”. Participaram 19 estudantes de 15 a 17 anos dos cursos técnicos de nível médio em eletrônica e informática de uma escola técnica federal brasileira. As atividades didáticas propostas aos estudantes são parte regular do curso de Física há sete anos. Nesse sentido, não se preparou intervenção especial para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa. A coleta de dados envolveu gravações em áudio e vídeo de grupos de estudantes; notas de observação de campo; e fotografias de cadernos dos estudantes e de pôsteres elaborados para apresentação em classe. A análise dos dados baseou-se na categorização das estratégias de raciocínio. Os resultados indicam o uso de quatro estratégias de domínio geral pelos estudantes nas tarefas que lhes foram propostas: raciocínio baseado em evidência, avaliação de linha de raciocínio, raciocínio com definição operacional e raciocínio hipotético-dedutivo. Esses resultados sugerem que atividades inspiradas pelos “Tutoriais de Física Introdutória” favorecem aprendizagens de conceitos científicos e aprendizagens ainda mais elaboradas. Coloca-se como demanda para a área de pesquisa a necessidade de refinamento das estratégias de coleta e de análise de dados como forma de identificar o uso de outras estratégias de domínio geral pelos estudantes em contextos semelhantes, assim como a ampliação da investigação para outros contextos escolares.
