Learning principles of conservation in didactic interviews

The article concerns the results of a qualitative research with secondary school students on the evolution of their ideas about conservation laws in mechanics, during a series of didactical interviews. We focus on the mechanism of attainment of new ideas and on the relationship between the resistencies to change and the experimental situations. Some implications for teaching are also discussed.Downloads
