Abstract

This work presents a panorama of the researches in chemical education that treat of the subject of the representation of the chemical knowledge. We focused our study in those works that contemplate the model of the three different levels of the chemical knowledge proposed by Alex Johnstone, trying to accomplish a reflection at the same time on these studies in that we tried to establish some relationships of the representation of the chemical knowledge with Charles Sanders Peirce semiotics theory.
