A review of the literature on studies regarding the teaching of introductory quantum mechanics
Keywords:
teaching of quantum mechanics, review of the literature, research in physics education.Abstract
In this paper we present the findings of a review of the literature regarding the teaching of introductory Quantum Mechanics. The reviewed papers were classified into three major categories -- student's conceptions, criticisms to the traditional approaches and proposals of pedagogical innovations -- which include studies on introductory quantum topics both at high school and college levels, as well as one study focusing a teacher preparation course. It is possible to note that research on this matter is quite recent, with a significant increase in the last few years.Downloads
