Computational models in physics teaching: a framework
Keywords:
scientific modeling, computer simulations, computational modeling, physics educationAbstract
The purpose of the present paper is to present a theoretical framework to promote and assist meaningful physics learning through computational models. Our proposal is based on the use of a tool, the AVM diagram, to design educational activities involving modeling and computer simulations. The idea is to provide a starting point for the construction and implementation of didactical approaches grounded in a coherent epistemological view about scientific modeling.Downloads
