This work aims to map what teachers’ knowledge are required to develop in order that teachers implement Modern and Contemporary Physics (MCP) in high school. For this, two teachers of the Center for Research on Curriculum Innovation (NUPIC) were analyzed in the application of didactic sequence about Wave-Particle Duality with their third grade pupils of the High School public schools in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. Through the recordings of lectures and birth of Tardif (2002), categories have been created that make explicit the didactic action throughout the course. From them, we investigate specific episodes showing us that the development of curricular and experiential knowledge is crucial for innovation to occur.References
