Abstract

We present a bibliographical review about Scientific Literacy building from a historical perspective to understand how this theme was discussed through years. Then, we attempted to identify which skills authors point as necessary to be developed in order to classify someone as scientific literate. These ideas are more explored in formal educational contexts. And to conclude, we identified Structural Axes of Scientific Literacy: proposal lines built from literature analyses that are considered to design teaching and learning sequences that aimed prompt opportunities to development of Scientific Literacy among students.
